Backpacking Lists


 
Whenever you're packing for a hike or backpacking trip, it's always crucial that you plan how and what you'll be packing for the trip.  Below are some ways you to get an idea of what to bring.  Younger scouts are highly encouraged to check these out to get a feel for what they have to take.  Of course, it wouldn't hurt for the older scouts to take a look either!

 

 

 

The Ten Essentials

1. First Aid Kit (personal)
2. Compass
3. Map
4. Pocketknife
5. Matches/Firestarter
6. 1 liter water bottle
7. Flashlight (w/extra batteries)
8. Sun protection
9. Personal trail food
10. Extra clothing (rain gear)
